In this 2-hour hands-on tie dye workshop we will learn useful methods of preparing your fabric and dyes, along with demonstrations on multiple folding and wrapping techniques to create spirals, bubbles, and textures. Participants should bring three white (or light colored) cotton or linen items to dye. Short or long sleeved shirts, tank tops, kids T’s, onesies, etc. are great options. Dress to get messy!
This workshop is suitable for ages 5+ accompanied by their grownup. All fabric dyes and tools will be provided. Participants need to bring their own items to dye.

Chris Alveshere recently completed a long-term residency at The Clay Studio of Missoula, and continues to maintain a full-time studio practice in Missoula, MT. Originally from North Dakota, Chris received undergraduate degrees in ceramics and art education from Minnesota State University in Moorhead, MN and his MFA in ceramics from Alfred University.
