In this workshop, we will explore different surface decorations on greenware working with underglazes. Techniques covered will include sgraffito, paper and tape resist, and image transfers. We will use tiles (3-4 per participant) to try out different techniques. The tiles you make will be fired with a clear glaze and ready for pickup within two weeks.
Courtney has maintained an active studio practice in Missoula for the past 14 years making contemporary terra cotta tableware out of her home studio. Her designs and forms are influenced by textiles and mid-century design. She loves when her work becomes an integral part of someone's daily routine.
